Abracadabra! There goes over half my gallery.

There was some embarrassing old stuff rotting back there. This is my only online portfolio, so it had to GO, like, yesterday. I still might be sweeping up a little, but on the whole I can now browse the back pages without wanting to stab myself in the face. Some stuff has been moved to scraps, mostly if it had sentimental value.

Just drop me a line if you want some old trade art or something, I backed most everything up.

Onward and upward!

Edit: I removed the favorites box from my front page to make it less confusing, but you can, and SHOULD, still browse my favorites HERE because they're full of amazing stuff.

Ah, forgot I was going to comment on this! If you'd like a more professional-looking portfolio, dA does offer those for free with membership - daportfolio.com looks quite a bit more professional than deviantart. You can manage your portfolio through deviantART which makes using it super easy!

Some examples:

*Shadow-Wolf's dA portfolio: [link]

*WesTalbott's dA portfolio: [link]

Those are the only ones I'm familiar with off the top of my head, but they should give you an idea of some of the customization possible. Hope this helps! <3

I think I started building one of those at one point when I happened to have a paid account... they do look nice. Might be worth forking over the dough. HMM. Thanks for the tip! <3

I don't think you actually need a paid account to make one? I've never had a paid account and I was able to...I'm sure there are great perks & cool extras to having a paid account, but I know you can still make one with a basic account. :3

DOOP you said "For free with membership" and I misread it. For some reason I had thought that when I started making my DA portfolio it was because someone had gifted me a paid account. Hmm! I'll have to dig it back up and see what I can do with it. : D

Yet, biggest feedback i keep hearing is that DA is terrible for portfolio unless you cut yourself off from other members. (due to employers landing on favorites and checking those instead of targetted gallery)

You might be better off with a blogspot slide show or even wordpress, in a sense.
Yet whichever works best - time wise.

Oh goodness, I didn't even know that. Thanks for the heads up! At least it's still good to have my gallery nice and clean.
