Fidgewea sheet by JeyBarnes Fidgewea sheet by JeyBarnes
This is totally not how I shoulda spent my morning with heaps of unfinished Christmas doin's and things to take care of. BUT, Y'KNOW. WHATEVER. I appreciate all y'all's patience with my unpredictable message-answering ways. Thanks for bein' rad like that.

So the plan is to do one of these for each of the races I made up for Coralune, the old fantasy RPG-verse that ~SunshineKitE and I made blahblahblah you all know by now. But man, I gotta learn me some digital shortcuts if I'm gonna stick with it 'cause several hours fumbling in MS Paint and PS just won't cut it again and again.

Other fun junk about the Fidgewea:

Their social structure is a tribal matriarchy!
They are super territorial TO THE MAX. The majority are raised to be warriors who defend territorial boundaries.
Marriages are often arranged between clans to forge bonds and dispel old feuds and stuff like that. Most Fidgewea find the idea of marriage for love totally outlandish.
They can't actually fly like birds; they flutter their wings rapidly (like insects or hummingbirds) to slow falls and take long, skimming leaps. This basically means that they can hang out carelessly in treetops without any problems.
They live in swamps, marshes, and forests.
Their dwellings are built around tree trunks and branches using paper (like what wasps make), mud, twigs and stuff like that.

I LOVE THEM.

These are really creative, adorable designs. I love all the different colors of the different individuals. And, I like how all of the colors of each character go together well. I love the moth wings. The hairstyles are are trendy and cute, too!

These are adorable! Almost an ironic twist to have them so territorial and cold toward love and all that with their faery looks. I understand them not being fae folk- I've got a race of creatures I call 'faeren' that people often call faeries, though they're pretty far from being magical little bug-people. ^^ Reminds me that I still need to make a reference sheet for them.
